About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Drafting Technologist to join our team at 2560904 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and drawings, developing design sketches, and preparing construction specifications and estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT
  • Develop and prepare design sketches to communicate ideas and concepts
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates to ensure project feasibility
  • Prepare contracts and tenders to secure project funding
  • Write technical reports and specifications to document project progress
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure project budget adherence
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets to facilitate project execution
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors to ensure quality control
  • Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements
  • Lead and instruct groups to achieve project goals
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in drafting and design
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure
  • Team player with ability to lead and instruct groups
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT
Work Environment
