Job Title: Production Floater w TD

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Floater with Technical Director (TD) responsibilities to join our dynamic team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of live broadcasts, including news, sports, and entertainment events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with editorial teams to plan, execute, and post-produce daily newscasts
  • Operate broadcast control systems, including cuing on-air talent, camera resources, and audio levels
  • Manage video playlists for our 24/7 streaming channel
  • Work with producers to build and execute live events, including news, sports, and entertainment programming
  • Continuously improve our on-air product and work with other team members to achieve excellence
Requirements:
  • Technical knowledge of broadcast software, including iNews, Inception, Grass Valley, and OBS
  • Experience in a live broadcast control room environment, with a focus on technical direction and production
  • Strong analytical and technical skills to operate various broadcast control systems and peripherals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and make quick decisions under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with producers, editors, and other team members
