About the Role:

The Ontario Association of Interval & Transition Houses seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Executive Director to lead our organization in providing essential services to women, children, and youth who have experienced violence against women.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the organization's mission and services
  • Lead a team of professionals in providing safe shelter and supportive programs for women and their children
  • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, community partners, and stakeholders
  • Manage budgets, resources, and operations to ensure the organization's sustainability
  • Advocate for policy changes and social justice initiatives to address the root causes of violence against women

Requirements:

  • University-level degree in social work, healthcare administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in non-profit management, social service work, or public administration
  • Strong understanding of intimate partner violence, gender-based violence, and systemic factors that undermine women's safety and human rights
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for serving survivors of domestic violence and promoting self-sufficiency and growth
