About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Little Footsteps Childcare Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities, tell stories, teach songs, and take children on outings to local points of interest, encouraging creativity and exploration.
  • Child Development: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a child care setting.
  • Certifications: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE), First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate.
  • Work Environment: Child care centre, willing to relocate.
