Clinical Educator (RN) - Regional Program

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to fill the role of Clinical Educator (RN) - Regional Program at Vancouver General Hospital. This position will support the education and development of nurses at Lions Gate, Richmond, and UBC Hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide education services, including individual and group learning assessments and opportunities.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate education programs and resources using education theory and knowledge of generalized and specialized clinical practice.
  • Consult, confer, and collaborate with other educators and team members to promote continuous quality improvement and resolution of clinical education issues.
  • Perform duties including preparing and facilitating interactive learning sessions and observing, supporting, and guiding Employed Student Nurses (ESN's), Internationally Educated Nurses (IEN's), and new graduates in clinical settings.
Requirements:
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Five (5) years' recent, related emergency or critical care nursing experience, including one year's related teaching experience, mentoring, and preceptoring.
  • Completion of 'Educator Pathway Program Level 2' required.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Adult Education preferred.
