POSITION SUMMARY

The Holiday Lighting Technician is responsible for the meticulous installation and maintenance of festive lighting displays across various surfaces. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety while working at heights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute the installation of Christmas lights utilizing specialized equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Set up and maintain illuminated holiday décor items to enhance the festive atmosphere.
  • Oversee the upkeep of outdoor areas, including lawn care, pruning, and basic gardening tasks.
  • Conduct general maintenance on outdoor structures, including minor repairs and painting.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Participate in specialized projects that may require additional training and skill development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess reliable transportation and a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Capability to lift heavy objects and work efficiently in various conditions.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills are essential.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and evenings as needed.
  • Proficient in reading safety labels and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety at all times.
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Certification in operating Genie Boom lifts is required.
  • Experience with other specialized equipment (e.g., skid steer, forklift) is a strong asset.
  • Current certification in Standard First Aid & CPR Level C is advantageous.
  • Fluency in a second language is considered an asset.
