Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

M & H Trucking Ltd. is seeking a reliable and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced truck driver to transport goods and materials across the country. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination and ensuring the safe transportation of cargo.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Safely: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Cargo: Load and unload goods at designated locations, ensuring that cargo is properly secured and protected.
  • Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure that the vehicle is in good working condition and that all necessary safety checks have been performed.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, including updates on cargo status and any issues that may arise during transportation.
  • Maintain Vehicle: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure, oil levels, and brakes, to ensure that the vehicle is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job, requiring the ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to work a 50-hour week, with overtime as needed.
