Congruex is seeking a skilled Operator to enhance our wireless engineering and construction division. We specialize in designing and constructing broadband and wireless communication infrastructures that support various sectors, including healthcare, energy, and transportation.

Role Overview Position Summary:
The Operator will be responsible for the operation of heavy machinery during construction or excavation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy machinery in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Load and unload equipment from transport vehicles.
  • Maintain and care for directional drilling and locating equipment, ensuring all necessary documentation is produced for each project.
  • Transport machinery as required.
  • Safely set up and dismantle equipment.
  • Configure and execute various underground utility installations.
  • Perform drilling operations near active utilities.
  • Implement precautions to avoid utility strikes.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding project details.
  • Conduct pre-drilling inspections to ensure all utilities are identified and develop plans to navigate around them.
  • Inspect and maintain operational equipment.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • May require additional hours or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using locating equipment for underground utilities.
  • Proficient in operating drills near active utilities.
  • Familiarity with locating systems is essential.
  • Ability to operate various machinery, including asphalt rollers, skid steers, backhoes, and mini excavators.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Possession of a commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience with Ditch Witch and Vermeer equipment is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate safe operation of drilling equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Adherence to OSHA and ANSI standards, as well as company regulations, is mandatory.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and all moving or stationary objects to ensure safe operations.
  • Must be comfortable working around heavy machinery.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires routine bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting in various positions.
  • Must be able to wear safety gear, including boots, glasses, and hard hats, as required.
