About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our team at Alterra Mountain Company. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide warm and welcoming service to guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process guest arrivals and departures, handling check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage guest inquiries and requests, providing information on hotel services and amenities, as well as local attractions and activities.
  • Operate hotel systems and software, including property management systems and point-of-sale systems.
  • Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk.

Requirements

  • 6-12 months of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of hotel systems and software, including property management systems and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Physical stamina to work in a standing position for long periods, with the ability to lift and move objects as needed.
