Position Title: Senior Research Associate, Lymphoid Cancer Studies
Organization: PHSA
Location: Vancouver, BC
The Lymphoid Cancer Research Division at PHSA is on the lookout for a Senior Research Associate to engage in investigations concerning the genetic profiles of lymphoid malignancies. This position will require the application of advanced genomics, molecular biology techniques, and experimental models. Familiarity with next-generation sequencing methodologies, including whole genome sequencing, targeted sequencing, and RNA sequencing (RNAseq) is highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement established technical protocols in accordance with documented procedures.
- Perform experiments in line with laboratory protocols, including next-generation sequencing workflows.
- Document findings and carry out data entry tasks.
- Contribute suggestions for procedural enhancements as needed.
- Oversee the maintenance of cell lines, primary cultures, and testing materials.
- Administer the inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Mentor junior staff on laboratory techniques and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Bachelor of Science).
- A minimum of five years of pertinent research laboratory experience.
