Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional Test Automation Architecture Lead to join our team at QA Consultants Inc.

About the Role

This is a permanent position that will involve leading the design and implementation of automation frameworks for desktop, web, and control software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, as well as experience with cloud-based architecture and source code management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement automation frameworks using industry-standard tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and pytest.
  2. Lead the development of automated testing frameworks and ensure they are integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs.
  4. Develop and maintain test automation frameworks to ensure they are scalable and efficient.
  5. Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
Requirements
  1. 7-10 years of experience in test automation architecture and implementation.
  2. Proven experience as a Test Architect, Test Lead, or similar role in software development projects.
  3. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  4. Experience with cloud-based architecture (GCP, AWS, Microsoft Azure).
  5. Experience with source code management systems such as GitHub or SVN.
  6. Strong experience with high-level languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, etc.).
  7. Proficiency in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks using industry-standard tools.
  8. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Preferred Skills
  1. Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (GitHub Actions).
  2. Experience with generating test reports from pytest framework (e.g. Allure Reports).
  3. Knowledge and experience in networking and communications, such as TCP and CAN.
  4. Knowledge and experience with PLC technologies, such as Beckhoff and Siemens.
