Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Well Monitoring Field Technician to enhance our operational capabilities. The ideal candidate will be based in the Grande Prairie area, with relocation assistance available if needed. This role demands a commitment to delivering exceptional support to our clients, including readiness for travel outside of Grande Prairie as required and availability for on-call duties throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

In-Shop Duties:

  • Manage inventory effectively, ensuring thorough equipment inspections, quality checks, and maintenance.
  • Address equipment issues such as damage or low battery life by performing necessary repairs and replacements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for shop activities, including inspections and inventory counts, and report findings to the Operations Manager.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the Operations Manager to keep them informed about shop conditions.
  • Ensure the shop environment is clean, secure, and organized.
Field Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of equipment and vehicles prior to and following each assignment.
  • Execute safe and efficient installation, retrieval, and troubleshooting of surface equipment in various field locations.
  • Maintain constant communication with the Operations Manager regarding location updates and job status.
  • Report any field-related issues promptly to the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all necessary certifications are current and prepare relevant paperwork as needed.
  • Engage with Well Operators and Frac Supervisors to facilitate operations.
  • Return and clean the company vehicle after completing installation or retrieval tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Availability for flexible hours, including 24/7 accessibility during shifts.
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas sector is advantageous.
  • Mechanical and technological aptitude is preferred.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to drive long distances in remote locations.
Required Certifications:
  • First Aid & CPR.
  • H2S Alive.
  • WHMIS and TDG.
  • CSO.
  • Full Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Compensation Structure: The compensation package includes a base salary complemented by field trip earnings, along with a food allowance for each field assignment.
