Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Community Psychiatrist to join our team at Alberta Health Services.

About the Role

  • Provide comprehensive mental health services to children and adolescents in the community, including inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of mental health conditions in children and adolescents.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide support for mental health programs throughout Central Zone.
  • Participate in emergency on-call rotations and provide after-hours care as needed.

Requirements

  • Recent and relevant experience in all scopes of practice, including inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth services.
  • Experience as the Most Responsible Physician for a wide range of patients.
  • Responsibility for after-hours inpatient care within the past 24 months.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification (RCPSC).

  • Position Classification: Full-time.
  • FTE: 1.
  • Unit and Program: Mental Health.
  • Compensation: Fee For Service, with on-call stipend and Alberta Medical Association (AMA) Compensation Programs.
