Program Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead our Community Based Services program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned programs and staff, ensuring effective program and service delivery, and developing long-range plans and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, control, and direct the provision of services for assigned programs, ensuring consistency with agency mandate and policy, legal, contractual, budgetary, and other requirements.
- Participate as a member of the society's management team in developing long-range and strategic plans, assessing and resolving operational issues and policies.
- Develop and establish standards and accountability/control mechanisms for assigned programs in accordance with policies and goals established by the organization.
- Supervise, develop, and motivate Program Coordinators and other assigned staff to attain program objectives, ensure effective case planning and management, and accountability to funders, authorities, and agencies.
- Monitor service delivery of assigned programs for structure, consistency, quality, supervision, suitability of activities, and discuss problem situations and remedies with the Program Coordinator.
- Participate in various committees, working groups, and maintain effective relationships with government officials, volunteers, community groups, and communicate and/or promote the agency's services, funding needs, value to the community, and represent the agency at community fundraising events or other official functions.
- Maintain a current awareness of concerns and/or issues within the sector.
A diploma and/or degree in a related human/social service field is preferred. Three to five years of recent program management experience, preferably in the community social service sector, with a demonstrated and in-depth working knowledge of specific community-based programs, services, applicable legislation, and policies.
