Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at the BC Cancer Agency in Prince George BC. As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide high-level administrative support to our oncology clinic, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional administrative support to our oncology clinic, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating with healthcare teams.
- Respond to incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and distribute meeting materials, agendas, and minutes.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and databases.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and events as required.
- Provide administrative support for special projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Grade 12, graduation from a recognized secretarial program, including a recognized course in medical transcription and three years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to keyboard at 50 wpm.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
