About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at RDH Building Science Inc. as a Building Science Consultant. This is a key role that will involve leading and managing building enclosure consulting projects from concept design to implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage building enclosure consulting projects, including responsibility for financial performance, technical quality, staff resourcing, scheduling, and client satisfaction.
  • Client Relationships: Act as a liaison with clients to foster strong client relationships and ensure excellent building enclosure performance on a variety of building types.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise in building science, building envelope design, and building enclosure construction principles, including local building codes.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise staff on projects, provide mentorship to junior staff, and support their career development plans.
  • Business Development: Participate in business development activities to drive growth and expansion of the company's services.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or Architecture required; Master's degree in a related field an asset.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in building science consulting; 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Registration: P.Eng. registered with EGBC or Architect registered with AIBC required.
Skills and Competencies
  • Technical Knowledge: Intermediate technical knowledge of building enclosure design and construction principles, including local building codes.
  • Communication: Excellent ability to communicate technical information to clients, trades, employees, and project managers while instilling confidence.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical problem-solving skills and strong investigative aptitude, including ability to troubleshoot and diagnose building performance issues.
  • Collaboration: Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients, staff, and consultants.
  • Project Management: Very good project management skills and the ability to work with others to achieve excellence.
