Job Summary

Dynacare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process blood samples and other laboratory specimens in a timely and accurate manner
  • Enter requisitions and results into our system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns with empathy and kindness
  • Work collaboratively with our laboratory team to ensure seamless operations and high-quality patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance our laboratory services and patient outcomes

Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized training in phlebotomy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and management
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, at a level that enables clear communication with patients and colleagues
