Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to provide essential assistance in a nursing home environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Meal Assistance: Serve meal trays and assist patients with feeding.
  • Patient Mobility: Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients as needed.
  • Communication: Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments.
  • Room Maintenance: Make beds and ensure cleanliness in patients' rooms.
  • Medical Assistance: Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an adequate supply of medical and personal care items.
  • Personal Care: Bathe, dress, and groom patients to ensure their dignity and comfort.
  • Transportation: Safely transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Patient Support: Respond to call signals to address patients' needs.
  • Specimen Collection: Collect specimens as required for medical testing.
  • Emergency Response: Provide first aid in emergency situations.
Qualifications
  • Training: Completion of Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training and possession of a CPR Certificate.
  • Background Check: Must pass a criminal record check.

Experience Requirements
