We are seeking an innovative Head of Scientific Innovation to spearhead our team in leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to foster growth and drive transformative initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of Scientific Innovators to design and execute state-of-the-art solutions aimed at enhancing Thumbtack's growth trajectory and user satisfaction.
- Develop and implement sophisticated machine learning models and AI frameworks to improve user acquisition and retention.
- Investigate generative AI methodologies to enrich user interactions and uncover new avenues for expansion.
- Remain informed about emerging technologies and advancements in applied science and AI to guide strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in applied science, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex AI concepts to audiences without a technical background.
