Position Overview

The role of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic Foreman/Woman is crucial in overseeing the operations within the commercial and industrial sectors. This position requires a skilled individual who can manage a team effectively while ensuring high standards of service and safety.

Qualifications
  • Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 to less than 3 years in a related field.
Work Environment

The work setting is typically noisy, and the role demands the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare production and operational reports.
  • Address work-related issues, offering technical guidance and recommending improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics.
  • Coordinate and schedule work activities efficiently.
  • Provide training or arrange for training sessions for team members.
  • Estimate costs and required materials for projects.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Order necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Establish effective methods to meet work schedules and collaborate with other work units.
Specialized Skills
  • Systems Knowledge: Proficient in refrigeration systems and plumbing, including cold water and drain lines.
  • Equipment Experience: Familiarity with HVAC systems.
  • Processing Experience: Background in refrigeration and air compression.
  • Area of Specialization: Electrical systems.
Transportation Requirements

A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
