Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently operate the cash register and handle various payment methods including cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
  • Accurately scan merchandise and calculate total payments for goods or services.
  • Receive and process payments, ensuring a seamless transaction experience for customers.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of payments received against total sales.
  • Engage in suggestive selling to enhance customer experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stock shelves as needed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and greet customers warmly.
  • Safeguard the store by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying proof of payment when necessary.
