Job Title: Heavy Machinery Maintenance Specialist

Overview:

As a Heavy Machinery Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our heavy equipment. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and rectifying issues with Caterpillar machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying and resolving mechanical problems in Caterpillar equipment.
  • Participate in shop repairs and perform diagnostics as required.
  • Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET tools on a regular basis.
  • Generate technical documentation, including service reports, warranty claims, and crossover notes.
  • Engage with customers, sales support, and team members to ensure effective communication.
  • Work collaboratively with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Commitment to pursuing Heavy Equipment Technician Certification.
  • Fulfillment of Finning's educational and testing requirements.
  • Strong motivation and mechanical aptitude.
  • A safety-focused team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with a keen attention to detail.
  • Completion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls, or Tier 4 training is advantageous.
  • Participation in Caterpillar product training courses is also beneficial.

Additional Information:

  • Position located at the Swift Current branch with a continuous shift schedule.
  • Ability to undergo fit testing and utilize a respirator is mandatory.
