Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support and consultation to internal partners on people-related matters.
- Design and develop programs focused on the employee experience and the development of an inclusive and high-performance culture.
- Apply an equity, diversity, and inclusion lens to all work, ensuring every colleague feels a sense of belonging.
- Collaborate and lead people from across a wide range of diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with the culture and history of any community that has faced marginalization is considered a plus.
- At least 3 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 1 year responsible for delivering a talent program.
- A post-secondary degree or certificate in Human Resources or a related field is required.
- Experience in media or arts and culture industries is an asset.
- Proven experience in building meaningful relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS and talent management systems.
- Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and resolve issues, derive insights from data, and make sound recommendations.
- Play a key role in rolling out our new HR partnering structure, contributing to an enhanced manager and employee experience.
- Provide guidance and coaching on people-related matters to managers and employees in your business areas.
- Oversee the recruitment process, from understanding resourcing needs to welcoming new hires and ensuring a smooth orientation.
- Partner with managers to foster a strong performance culture, support resource planning, and drive employee growth, engagement, and retention.
- Further our diversity, equity, and inclusion goals to better serve Canada's diverse population of readers and strengthen our culture of belonging.
- Contribute to and sometimes lead the design and development of organizational initiatives critical to cultivating a high-performance and inclusive environment.
Requirements
- A minimum of three days per week at our office located at 320 Front Street West in Toronto.
- Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our office.
