Role Overview

The Chemical Handler plays a crucial role in the provision of chemicals and materials to various departments within the organization, while also managing inventory tasks. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background, adaptability to changing tasks, and prior experience in inventory management is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Distribute chemicals and materials to different departments
  • Manage urgent delivery requests
  • Oversee chemical inventory; including cycle counts, ordering, and material oversight
  • Dispose of hazardous waste appropriately
  • Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma
  • Experience in inventory control or management is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Organizational skills are beneficial
