About the Role

The Project Execution Manager will be responsible for the overall financial health and execution of Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs) for the Quebec region. This role will oversee the delivery of EPCs for Johnson Controls (JCCLP) and the client, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all IPEC and client safety programs are followed to the highest standards, with direct participation in incident reporting and investigations.
  • Represent project management for all pre-contract projects, monitoring project schedules and ensuring accurate documentation and cost tracking.
  • Supervise project documentation and cost tracking to ensure accurate and timely reporting to clients and Johnson Controls.
  • Participate in major subcontract negotiations.
  • Negotiate proposed changes for each project with the client.
  • Develop and engineer projects, including:
    • Assisting sales in strategy development, content, and execution.
    • Monitoring scope, cost tracking, and contract assembly for upcoming projects.
  • Lead a team of direct reports, including project managers, construction managers, project coordinators, and site supervisors, necessary for project execution, as well as matrixed interaction with all resources working on development, delivery, and surveillance.

How You Will Make It Happen

Active role, either in-person or via video conference, in all client-facing workshops, weekly/bi-weekly project meetings for ongoing EPC projects, and remote participation in internal audits with a leading role in backlog reviews, governance reviews, and pre-contract reviews, among others.

What We Are Looking For

Education:

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration is an asset.
  • CFA (Certified Financial Analyst), PMP (Project Management Professional), and CEM (Certified Energy Manager) designations are considered an asset.

Experience:

  • Ability to map the SP.

Preferred:

  • Candidate with a strong experience in Energy Performance Contracts.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Strong IT skills: Microsoft Excel – advanced knowledge, Project MS – advanced knowledge.
    • Proficiency in Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, etc.
    • Customer service skills.
    • Management and leadership skills.

Language: Bilingualism is a requirement. French and English.

Other:

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to travel to various project sites across Canada.
  • Preferred location: Greater Montreal area.
