Furniture Craftsman Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Craftsman to join our team at Van Gogh Designs Furniture Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and carpentry, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts and designs for furniture pieces, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to create high-quality furniture pieces.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems for furniture projects.
  • Fabricate and install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, and hardware for furniture pieces.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Estimate costs and materials for furniture projects, ensuring budgetary compliance.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in woodworking and carpentry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
