We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team at Thorlabs Canada ULC. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the production of high-quality optical components and structures.
Responsibilities:- Manufacture fused optical structures with precision and accuracy.
- Record and track manufacturing data in our database for quality control and improvement purposes.
- Participate in the development and improvement of new products and processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Document parameters related to the manufacture of optical structures for future reference.
- Conduct small and medium-scale improvement projects to optimize processes and equipment.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably in photonics or related fields.
- Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail, with strong manual and visual dexterity.
- Autonomy and initiative to work independently and as part of a team.
- Time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- College diploma in photonics, physical technology, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of optical equipment and handling of optical fibers.
- Ability to use a microscope, optical spectrum analyzer, fuser, and laser source.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing software and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
