Your Opportunity:

Position Overview:

As a Warehouse Associate I, you will play a crucial role in managing various tasks related to the selection, packaging, dispatching, and receiving of orders for medical supplies, equipment, and food, adhering to the standards and protocols set by Alberta Health Services. Your responsibilities will include processing incoming orders, distributing supplies efficiently, conducting inventory audits for quality assurance, and maintaining regular communication with stakeholders to ensure the correct quantities of supplies are readily available. Additionally, you will monitor and report on inventory levels to prevent overstock situations.

Essential Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education. Must possess the physical capability to push and pull heavy wheeled carts weighing up to and occasionally exceeding 275 Kgs. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods is required. Must regularly utilize hands and arms to reach, lift, and transport heavy items weighing up to 25 kg.

Additional Qualifications:

Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English fluently. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff, customers, and vendors at all levels. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A reliable and cooperative demeanor, demonstrating a positive service attitude. Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a constructive attitude. Familiarity with computer systems and Microsoft software is essential. Capability to occasionally maneuver pallets using a manual jack, exceeding 1200kg, requiring a pushing force of 20kg. Must be available to report to work within a reasonable timeframe.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with computerized inventory management systems. Background in shipping and receiving, warehousing, and material handling. Knowledge of aseptic techniques is advantageous. Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is preferred.
