Food Service Operations Manager

CuppaJoe Coffee Roasters is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our café, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our business runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets to determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies.
- Operations Evaluation: Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Menu Planning and Pricing: Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget.
- Labour Cost Management: Monitor revenues to determine labour costs and make adjustments as necessary.
- Staff Performance: Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Daily Operations Planning: Plan and organize daily operations, including staff scheduling and inventory management.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
- Supervision: 5-10 people.
- Security and Safety: Reference required.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, attention to detail.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player.
