About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at West Parry Sound Health Centre. As a key member of our inter-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leadership to our nursing units.


Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will be expected to demonstrate expertise in physical assessment, health teaching, and clinical decision making. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will enable you to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team and community resources.

We offer a competitive hourly salary of $39.07-$56.00 per hour, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP), and Wellness Program & onsite gym.

Requirements:

  • Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Demonstrated expertise in physical assessment, health teaching, and clinical decision making
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and community resources
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs
  • Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • A.C.L.S. Certification
  • P.A.L.S. Certification
  • N.R.P. Certification
  • Previous experience in Nursing Skills pertinent to Acute Care Nursing (IV starts, Wound care, Ostomy care)
