Job Summary

OPTIMUM TRUCK LINES is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Operations
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
    • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Logistics Coordination
    • Load and unload goods
    • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
    • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
    • Work collaboratively with other drivers and logistics team members
Requirements
