Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Concurrent Disorders Counsellor to join the Daytox Program team at Robert and Lily Lee Family Community Health Centre in Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide screening and assessment services to clients with concurrent mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address both mental health and substance use issues.
  • Provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy, as well as education and support services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate case management and coordinate care.
  • Participate in case conferences and meetings to identify and manage client mental health issues.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a Behavioural Health Discipline from a recognized program.
  • Three years' recent experience providing professional services to individuals with substance abuse and mental health issues.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of psychotherapeutic and counselling skills.
  • Broad knowledge of bio-psycho-social issues related to mental health and substance use.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and provide culturally sensitive services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
