Job Description

Manulife Insurance Malaysia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director, Global Data Contracts and Vendors Management. This position will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies to optimize contract management processes, drive cost efficiency, and enable delivery and transformation within the Global Data Technology (GDT) team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management
    • Develop and implement a sustainable contracts renewal process for the Global Data portfolio of contracts.
    • Define and operate a contracts management framework to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Vendor Management
    • Lead the development and implementation of strategies to optimize vendor relationships and drive cost savings.
    • Manage vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Develop and implement metrics to measure contract and vendor performance.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Lead a team of contract and vendor management professionals to achieve business objectives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in global supply chain management and/or vendor management and/or contract management.
  • Experience and knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles, best practices, and tools.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
  • Demonstrates understanding of how technology supports Manulife's strategy.
  • Strong detail orientation and ability to refine deliverables and advise on contractual documentation.
  • Experience working with Asia teams is strongly preferred.
  • Awareness of Microsoft data and cloud technology stack.
  • Strong understanding of internal processes and how to lead to expedite outcomes.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, social skills, awareness, and management of relationships and politics in a corporate environment.
  • Consistent record preparing high-quality audience-based communications and presentations, up to SVP-level.
  • Consistent track record creating and rolling out streamlined processes.
  • Experience in intake and demand planning.
  • Fit for purpose and usually refined quality.
  • Constantly learns from both success and failure.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to handle through creative abrasion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, able to optimally articulate business and technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes.
