Key Responsibilities
  • Determine Glass Requirements

Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation project.

Measure and Cut Glass

Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications.

Install Glass Panes

Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a secure and watertight seal.

Assemble and Install Glass Products

Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products, following manufacturer instructions.

Install Hardware

Install door, window, and other hardware, ensuring proper alignment and function.

Repair Glass Structures

Repair glass doors and other glass structures, using specialized tools and techniques.

Operate Scaffolding and Equipment

Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment, ensuring safe working conditions.

Supervise and Transport

Supervise other workers and transport cases of glass, ensuring timely delivery and installation.

Estimate and Plan

Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan installation schedules accordingly.

Work at Heights

Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, using proper safety equipment and techniques.

Read and Interpret Plans

Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accurate installation and compliance with regulations.

Maintain a Clean Work Area

Clean the work area, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
