Position Overview

ABC HAY FARMS AND STABLES LTD is seeking a dedicated Agricultural Operations Supervisor to oversee our farming activities and ensure optimal productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education Requirement: Completion of secondary (high) school education.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 to 3 years in a similar role.
  • Core Duties:
    • Evaluate environmental factors such as moisture levels, sunlight, and temperature to promote healthy crop growth.
    • Oversee the harvesting of crops.
    • Identify and address health concerns in livestock.
    • Manage the inventory of feed for animals.
    • Care for and handle livestock.
    • Maintain accurate financial and production documentation.
    • Provide essential agricultural services including plowing, irrigation, cultivation, spraying, and harvesting.
    • Supervise farm workers and laborers involved in harvesting.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and bio-security protocols on the farm.
    • Oversee crop-related operations and growth activities.
    • Recruit, train, and develop staff members.
    • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment effectively.
    • Perform various general farm tasks as needed.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.

  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
