Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at AR Home Renovation and Construction Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will assist in various tasks related to construction site operations, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site.
  • Clean and maintain heavy equipment, including cranes, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices on site.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced personnel.
  • Assist medical examiners in charge with medical-related tasks.
  • Support pipe alignment during pipeline construction.
  • Participate in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Pave and rake asphalt.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Be physically demanding, requiring handling heavy loads and working under pressure.
  • Be prepared to work overtime as required.
  • Have good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience or equivalent experience.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work outdoors in noisy, dusty environments.
  • Be willing to relocate.
  • Relocation costs not covered by the employer.
Weight Handling
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
