About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sod Laying Labourer to join our team at The Greenhorizons Group of Farms Ltd. As a key member of our landscape construction team, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to sod laying, ground maintenance, and landscape construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Landscape Constructions: Work alongside our experienced team to lay sod, seed, and construct various landscape features.
  • Weed, Prune, and Trim Trees and Plants: Maintain our grounds by removing weeds, pruning trees, and trimming plants to ensure a well-manicured appearance.
  • Cut Grass and Maintain Lawns: Operate machinery to cut grass and maintain our lawns to the highest standard.
  • Apply Fertilizers and Water Plants: Ensure our plants and lawns receive the necessary care by applying fertilizers and watering as needed.
Work Environment and Conditions
  • Work Site Environment: Our work sites are located in various urban and rural areas, and you will be working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work Schedule: You will be required to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with regular breaks to rest and recharge.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience in a related field is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Hours: You will be required to work 40 to 70 hours per week, depending on the needs of the team.
