Our client, a distinguished Independent Fund Manager, is seeking a meticulous Portfolio Management Analyst to supervise and assist with various aspects of the Firm's pooled funds and investment operations. This role is ideal for a driven BCom/Finance graduate eager to advance their career alongside independent Investment Portfolio Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile client portfolio data and pooled funds, while analyzing performance discrepancies.
- Verify NAV reporting for pooled funds.
- Monitor and execute currency hedging strategies.
- Manage client portfolios to ensure compliance with mandates.
- Coordinate the preparation of various reports, including Quarterly Performance Reports, and manage financial statement requests.
- Address ad hoc client portfolio inquiries from custodians, portfolio managers, financial advisors, and consultants; facilitate new account setups and transfers.
- Involve trade input and monitoring, along with trade and portfolio reporting to portfolio managers and brokers.
- Oversee capital calls for alternative assets, including banking logistics.
- Manage relationships with third-party service providers and collaborate with portfolio management teams to meet operational needs.
- Participate in Investment Committee meetings, review investment performance, and stay informed about valuation or policy changes.
- Conduct regular administrative duties for all investment files and compliance projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- A degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Progress towards the CFA or CIM designation is advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; fund accounting experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Croesus Portfolio Management and Dataphile software is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism in a team environment.
