Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area, stockroom, and sales floor.
  • Support the sales team in achieving sales goals, including replenishing merchandise, completing markdowns, and maintaining planograms.
  • Operate electronic cash registers, mainline, and self-checkouts, accurately recording customer transactions.
  • Follow up on hot selling items, complete markdowns, and SKU changes as needed.
  • Maintain health and safety policies and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery.
  • Participate in cycle counts and other inventory management tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work a mix of days, evenings, and weekends, up to 24 hours weekly.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 18 kg (40 lbs).

Keyholder Premium (If Applicable):

Opening and closing the store on an ad hoc basis, including running register reports, ensuring all areas are tidy, and ensuring all Associates have completed their end of shift tasks.

Closing: responsible for security of the store, including locking and setting alarm.

Opening: ensuring store is well-stocked and ready for the customer, clean and tidy, and ensuring Associates are ready to open their areas for the shift.

Starting up registers, unlocking and disabling alarm, and receiving deliveries.
