Job Title: Application Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to join our team at Stackitrecruitment in Downtown Toronto. This is a 4-month contract opportunity that requires hybrid work arrangements, with 2-3 days per week spent in the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, maintain, and restore services to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, end-users, and technical specialists to troubleshoot issues and support deployments
  • Contribute to continuous system improvement and assist with root cause analysis
  • Interface with various end-users, business analysts, implementation specialists, and system administrators
  • Support existing systems and assist in root cause analysis and resolution
  • Develop knowledge assets required for operation and coordinate incident and service interruption notification
  • Ad-hoc report and SQL script peer review
  • Provide after-hours on-call support on a rotational basis
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • ~2+ years of experience in application support and operations
  • ~Intermediate level in SQL script and reporting
  • ~Intermediate level in relational databases and MS SQL server
  • ~Intermediate level in Windows Server operation and troubleshooting
  • ~Knowledge of application monitoring and ticket system operations
  • ~Knowledge of support and operation practice, concepts, technology, and tool stacks
