About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Simple Wealth. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the interior and exterior surfaces of our properties are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, including walls, ceilings, and floors.
  • Painting and Finishing: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair equipment, including scaffolding, swing stages, and rigging.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, and plan and schedule work to ensure timely completion.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including advising consumers on colors and choice of wall coverings.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in painting and maintenance.
  • Training: Working at heights training, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Brush painting, conventional spray painting, and roller painting.
  • Surface Preparation Experience: Drywall taping/patching and sandblasters.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and team player.
