Job Title: Clinical Practice Leader, Emergency Department

Humber River Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Leader to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for modeling clinical skills excellence, promoting interdisciplinary teams, and developing continuing education programs to keep staff updated with new practices, skills, and certifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Consult with the Program Director, Manager, and staff regarding program needs
  • Model clinical skills excellence
  • Promote the development of interdisciplinary teams
  • Needs assessment and program development
  • Provide orientation and education for Emergency staff
  • Develop continuing education programs to keep staff updated with new practices, skills, and certifications
  • Facilitate development of multidisciplinary standards of patient care
  • Collect, analyze statistical activities, and implement appropriate interventions on clinical areas
Requirements:
  • Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
  • BScN is required
  • Masters degree in Nursing, Clinical focus required. Candidates who are actively pursuing their Masters will be considered.
  • BCLS and ACLS certification required
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in Emergency Nursing
  • Demonstrated experience in leading quality improvement initiatives and special projects
  • Experience in adult education principles that address facets of learning needs assessment
  • The ability to design, deliver, and evaluate educational programs
  • A minimum of three years previous experience in an adult educator role preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills
