Ecora Engineering & Resource Group Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Professional to join our expanding Environmental Services team on a permanent full-time basis.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in environmental consulting, project management, and team leadership. They will be responsible for managing and coordinating teams with diverse backgrounds, independently completing all stages of environmental studies and assessments, and providing a leadership role in a growing environmental team.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Manage and coordinate teams with diverse backgrounds, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Environmental Studies and Assessments: Independently complete all stages of environmental studies and assessments, including proposal, workplans, field data collection, interpretation/analysis, and reporting.
- Fieldwork and Data Collection: Conduct fieldwork in remote locations and around water, collecting and analyzing data to inform environmental assessments.
- Permitting and Approvals: Coordinate completion and submission of permits, authorizations, and approvals.
- Team Leadership: Provide a leadership role in a growing environmental team, mentoring junior to intermediate personnel.
- Client Communications: Liaise with regulators and maintain strong client communications.
- Environmental Management: Provide environmental management and mitigation guidance for proponent designs and planning.
- Product Delivery: Deliver exceptional products on time and on budget.
- Company Representation: Represent Ecora in a respectful and responsible manner.
- Professional Designation: Professional designation in BC (R.P. Bio or equivalent).
- Work Experience: A minimum of five years of professional work experience including project management, fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with the BC regulations and conducting assessments pursuant to permitting requirements at various levels of government (municipal, provincial, federal).
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized and able to manage and prioritize a dynamic work schedule.
- Work Ethic: Possess a strong work ethic with the desire to excel and achieve.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and communication skills and experience using MS Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) as well as digital data collection tools.
- Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and other relevant safety or technical training to competently conduct the work described above (e.g., first aid, electrofishing, boating, swift water).
- Diverse Client Base: Experience or strong interest in working with a diverse client base including First Nations, government, and industry.
- Background in Terrestrial, Aquatics, or Fisheries: Preference will be given to applicants with a background in Terrestrial, Aquatics, or fisheries.
