We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Department team at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients in the Emergency Department, under the supervision of attending physicians
- Perform comprehensive assessments, make differential diagnoses, and order appropriate testing
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Graduate of a Canadian or US-accredited Physician Assistant Education Program
- Eligible to challenge the National Physician Assistant Certificate Exam or Canadian Physician Assistant Certification
- Current BCLS and ACLS certification
- Experience working in an Emergency Department setting is an asset
