About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Laborer to join our team at Artistic Landscaping Ltd. as a Farmhand. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to crop care and farm operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop Care: Apply fertilizers, clean the crops, clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas, dose water saturation, light and temperature as instructed for crop growth and development, grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market, harvest seedlings, level earth to fine grade specifications, plant, cultivate and irrigate crops, seed cutting, tie and secure plants, clean work area, fertilize and spray crops, harvest crops.
  • Farm Operations: Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • Transportation: Own transportation.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, hand-eye co-ordination, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, overtime required, sitting, combination of sitting, standing, walking, walking.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Tools and Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, permanent employment, 30 hours per week, English language.
