MissionCargoM's mission is to undertake key projects, promote Montreal's position as a hub for freight transportation, share best practices and technologies, and attract and retain workers in the industry's various sectors.
Industry MembersCargoM's membership includes industrial, institutional, associative, and governmental representatives from various sectors, including air transport, rail transport, maritime transport and terminals, exporters and importers, committees and associations, road transport, logistics intermediaries, administrations and shared infrastructure, and educational and research institutions.
Objectives- To bring together Greater Montreal's freight transport and logistics stakeholders to promote the sector's cohesion, competitiveness, growth, and reach.
- To establish Greater Montreal as a recognized intermodal hub, sought after for its operational and environmental performance and its contribution to the competitiveness of its business partners and the economic development of Greater Montreal and Quebec.
The Executive Director is responsible for leading and ensuring the sustainability of the Logistics and Transportation Metropolitan Cluster of Montreal under the direction of the Board of Directors.
CargoM's permanent staff consists of an Executive Director, two project managers, and one executive assistant. The Executive Director will facilitate consultation among key players in the sector, establish partnerships with key players in economic development, manage the rules of governance, ensure the smooth running of the Cluster's permanent staff, and ensure the smooth operation of communication tools.
Requirements- Three to five years of relevant experience in an executive director role.
- Prior experience working with a Board of Directors is considered an asset.
- French and English, spoken and written.
CargoM is a recruitment firm of middle and senior executives also offering support in the recruitment of members of the board of directors or advisory committee.
