Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Best Western Cranbrook Hotel. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping department, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals to identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and training to staff.
  • Operations Management
    • Coordinate the inspection of assigned areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and departmental policies.
    • Supervise the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
    • Manage the inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Customer Service
    • Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that all guest requests are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage budgets and payrolls to ensure accurate financial reporting.
    • Monitor and control expenses to ensure they are within budget.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are met and that staff are aware of their responsibilities.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. They will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
