Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Incident Management plays a critical role in supporting Royal Bank of Canada's (RBC) responsibility to manage its Duty of Care and Duty of Warn programs for all employees globally. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a full range of security policies, programs, and resources across the globe, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation to deliver a "Best in Class" global security program.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage RBC's Duty of Care and Duty of Warn for all employees globally.
  2. Responsible for the intake, triage, and management of security incidents (Robbery, Active Shooter, Kidnap, Hostage & Extortion, Workplace Violence, Aggressive & Abusive individuals) across the organization.
  3. Provide subject matter expert advice and security and life safety guidance to management at all levels.
  4. Support the design, implementation, and management of a full range of security policies, programs, and resources across the globe with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation to deliver a "Best in Class" global security program.
  5. Provide SME oversight of contracted security resources to provide the most cost-effective and world-class program.
  6. Contribute to security-related communications, promote security awareness, design, and maintain communication channels to facilitate the distribution of time-sensitive security information.
  7. Support relationships with outside providers who support safety and emergency response.
Requirements
  1. Progressive career in corporate security and strong experience managing Duty of Care, Duty to Warn scenarios.
  2. Delivering Workplace Violence/Conflict Management training.
  3. Good analytical skills, effective problem-solving abilities, with good judgment and discretion to provide immediate direction in emergency situations globally.
  4. Ability to work within a flexible working environment that involves a staggered shift structure to support operational hours and 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.
  5. Fluency in both French and English to serve internal stakeholders.
