Job Summary

Ras Can-Ind Ltd. is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing statements of earnings, performing clerical duties, and maintaining payroll records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments, and insurance and pension plans.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining filing systems and reconciling issued payrolls to bank statements.
  • Complete and submit documentation for the administration of benefits, such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment, and medical insurance.
  • Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans.
  • Compile statistics and reports.
  • Maintain payroll records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, using manual or computerized systems.
  • Prepare T4 statements and other statements.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Computer and technology knowledge: MS Windows, Accounting software
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Fast-paced environment
  • Personal suitability: Accurate, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Team player
