Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Northern Inn & Steak House. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • Take customers' orders.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
